Dr. Elizabeth Ingulli, Member
UCSD and Rady Children’s Hospital
Elizabeth Ingulli, MD is a Clinical Professor at the University of California, San Diego Medical Center and Rady Children’s Hospital and the Medical Director of the Pediatric Kidney Transplant Program and Pediatric Nephrology Fellowship Program. She has extensive experience in both clinical and basic science research. Since moving to San Diego, she has focused her attention on building the clinical transplant program. Dr. Ingulli cares for a wide range of children with chronic illness and sees the devastating effects it has on children and families. Dr. Ingulli serves on the Board for Kids’ Turn San Diego, a non-profit that strives to bring peace to families in transition, and is working with the staff to develop a program to help families deal with separation issues and the stresses associated with a chronic illness. Dr. Ingulli is serving her second term on the board. She joined the board in 2015.
Kay Merg, PMN, MRP, Realtor, Member
Kay is a top ranked Residential Realtor and Leader of The Merg Team in San Diego with 19 years of experience. Kay has become San Diego families “Go to” agent and a consistent leader with a reputation for tenaciously protecting her clients interests. As a Certified Military Relocation Specialist, Kay is dedicated to helping Military members buy and sell homes throughout San Diego. As a Military spouse for the past 22 years, she understands the needs and challenges buyers and sellers deal with when moving in and out of Southern California. Kay is the Team Leader for The Merg Team consisting of 3 wonderful Realtors and Associates. The Merg Team has been awarded RE/MAX Presidents and Platinum level status level over the past 15 years and sold over 470 homes in San Diego County. Kay was elected as the 2015 President of the Women’s Council of Realtors in San Diego and then elected as a 2016 and 2017 District Vice President in California and was just elected as the 2018 Governor for District 3 in California and awarded Women’s Council of Realtors San Diego Realtor of the Year. Kay is dedicated to helping Realtors gain business knowledge and leadership skills within the community. Kay has served on the Board of Directors for the Naval Officer’s Spouses Club in San Diego from 2006-2010. She continues to volunteer with the NOSC organization on a regular basis. When Kay is not helping clients with their Real Estate needs and volunteering in the community, she enjoys travelling to Europe and Hawaii with her husband Ralph. Kay joined the board in 2018.

Patrick Peterhans is the board treasurer of Kids’ Turn San Diego serving in his first term. He has 25 years of experience working in various functions in the financial arena advising clients from throughout the United States and in various industries. He specializes in financial analysis, projection and coaching, business exiting, and taxes, serving as the part-time / interim CFO for the client. Patrick joined the board of Kids’ Turn San Diego in 2016.
Eileen Sigler, Chair, Resource Development Committee

Eileen Sigler, Vice President of Development for Hubbs-SeaWorld Research Institute in San Diego, joined Kids’ Turn San Diego in 2015. Ms. Sigler works with scientists to build healthier oceans and thriving sea life. Serving local non-profits since 1995, she earned her Certification as a Fundraising Executive (CFRE) in 2010. A member of AFP San Diego, Eileen is passionate about professional mentoring, her family and dogs, helping others raise their ‘grace quotient’, and her local church.
Karen Trimble, Past Board President
BoFi Federal Bank
Karen E. Trimble is the Vice President, CRE/Credit Administrator at BoFi Federal Bank. Karen’s experience is multi-dimensional and includes complex real estate lending, asset management, land development/land use and complex contract negotiations involving more than $2.5 billion of real estate transactions with local and international companies including US Bank, San Diego National Bank, Latham and Watkins, and Jenny Craig International. Karen has been on the board since 2015 and currently serves as the Board President for Kids’ Turn San Diego, a non-profit that strives to bring peace to families in transition. Karen and her family attended the program in 2001 while going through a divorce and credits the program for providing them with the understanding of the effects of conflict on children. Her son, ex-husband, bonus children, friends and dogs are all on great terms and happily celebrate family milestones together. Karen joined the board in 2014 and is serving her second term.

Pat Wade, Vice President Supply Chain – Americas at Zodiac Pool Systems, is an innovator leader adept at growing business profitably and optimizing operations in a variety of industries. Pat works collaboratively to build high-performing teams, bringing together ideas and people to add value to an organization. He is a strategic thinker with strong business acumen who provides a calming effect during times of uncertainty. Pat is a servant leader with the ability to adapt, understand people and build trust. Pat worked at WD-40 as the Vice President of Global Innovation Sourcing Management and served as a Navy Supply Corps Officer-Deputy Director of Logistics Operations with the US Navy. Pat joined the Kids’ Turn San Diego Board of Directors in January 2017.
